Louie's Mock Drafts

Louie's Mock Draft V 5.0

Round 1
1
Houston Texans      Texans pass on QB to take a player that comes every 15 years
Jadeveon Clowney
DE
South Carolina
Jadeveon Clowney (DE/OLB South Carolina)
Jadeveon Clowney (DE/OLB South Carolina)
          St. Louis Rams
A great athletic tackle to protect their guy. Sam Bradford that is.
Greg Robinson

OT
Auburn

3
Jacksonville Jaguars This would be huge to get Manziel here, but the Jaguars need pass rushing help and Mack would fit perfect with Bradley. I see a trade looming for the Jags to get a QB of their choice.
Khalil Mack
OLB
Buffalo
4
Cleveland Browns  Gordon and Watkins together....that could be dynamite with Hoyer or another quaterback.
Sammy Watkins
WR
Clemson
5
Oakland Raiders Raiders get a legit #1 receiver.
Mike Evans
WR
Texas A&M
6
Atlanta Falcons The Falcons have been troubled when it comes to finding protection for Matt Ryan. Not this time!

Jake Matthews

OT
Texas A&M
          Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs get a electric QB to lead their future.
Johnny Manziel
QB
Texas A&M
8
Minnesota Vikings The Vikings need to hit the bulls eye on a QB now.
Blake Bortles
QB
Central Florida
9
Buffalo Bills The Bills get best player available. Great athletic receiver.
Odell Beckham Jr.
WR
LSU
10
Detroit Lions The obvious choice for a team that has been terrible in the secondary. Gilbert's speed and size will make a great tandem with last year's second round pick Darius Slay.
Justin Gilbert
CB
Oklahoma St.
11
Tennessee Titans  How he fell this far I don't know but the Titans will love a versatile, athletic freak. The Titans have not had a dominant pass rusher since Kearse.
Anthony Barr
OLB
UCLA
12
New York Giants The Giants are trying to get younger and athletic on the offensive line to keep Eli Manning up right, which was a serious problem last year.
Taylor Lewan
OT
Michigan
13
St. Louis Rams The Rams will continue to bulk up a defense that is seriously dangerous. With Kaepernick and Russell Wilson in their division, the Rams need a secondary to lock them down.
Ha Ha Clinton-Dix
FS
Alabama
14
Chicago Bears Rebuilding the defensive line with Jared Allen and Lamar Houston is great, but up the middle Chicago is a mess. Donald's motor and size can put the Bears into Super Bowl contention....yes a defensive tackle will do that in this scenario they are that close.
Aaron Donald
DT
Pittsburgh
15
Pittsburgh Steelers Replacing Ryan Clark with Mike Mitchell is a great move talent wise and to get younger. With Ike Taylor on his last legs, the Steelers need a shut down corner who can play up in a receivers face. I can't wait to see him against Josh Gordon and Steve Smith if he goes to the Steel City.
Darqueze Dennard
CB
Michigan St.
16
Dallas Cowboys  The Cowboys secondary was probably the worst in the NFL last year starting at safety. Picking up a hard hitting safety like Pryor would be a much needed boost to this struggling defense.

           Calvin Pryor

           FS
           Louisville

17.
Cleveland Browns           *TRADE Watkins and Bridgewater equals surprise team of the year.

Teddy Bridgewater
QB
Louisville
18
New York Jets The Jets have not hid from their interest in the Oregon State product. An electric play maker that plays bigger than his size. With Eric Decker, Cooks would draw the single coverage and make either Michael Vick or Geno Smith, better than they really are.
Brandin Cooks
WR
Oregon St.
19
         Miami Dolphins
 The Dolphins get their guy.
Zack Martin
OG
Notre Dame
20
Arizona Cardinals The Cardinals should go QB in my opinion here but a big weapon is a must.
Eric Ebron
TE
UNC
21
Green Bay Packers It is time for the Packers defense to give their end of the bargain. Julius Peppers coming in is a great signing, but through the middle they still need help. Mosely was the best linebacker in the SEC last year....unless you consider Clowney a linebacker.
CJ Mosely
ILB
Alabama
22
Philadelphia Eagles The Eagles could go in many areas here. With Cooks off the board, I still think the Eagles should take a electric play maker. .
Marqise Lee

WR USC
23
Kansas City Chiefs  KC lost Branden Albert so a hole on the line is missing. FIlo is a athletic guard that will be a great fit in helping Jamal Charles.
Xavier Su'A Filo
OG
UCLA
24
Cincinnati Bengals A hurt Dre Kirk Patric, No Legs Leon Hall, Adam (Pacman) Jones, and 70 year old Terrence Newman is what the Bengals have at corner. Roby could come in and play all over the field. Slot, Outside, returner, special teams coverage. Roby is a versatile player that last year would have been a top 15 pick.
Bradley Roby
CB
Ohio St.
25
San Diego Chargers Re-signing Butler is a great move for San Diego, but across from him there is not much talent. A lot of analyst have Fuller as their second rated corner behind Justin Gilbert or Dennard. His long arms and tackling ability make him a hot commodity with all the elite receivers in the league today in the NFL.
Kyle Fuller
CB
Virginia Tech
26
Baltimore Ravens The Ravens move back and get a young end to replace Suggs and Dumervill in the future.
Dee Ford
DE
Auburn
27
New Orleans Saints Best player available. Taking another pass rusher will make the Saints defense elite. The secondary is one of the best in the league and with Cameron Jordan on the another end, Ealy can feast on the single protection he will get.
Kony Ealy
DE
Mizzou
28
Carolina Panthers  Everyone has WR but the Panthers can wait till second and third round and patch up this old offensive line.
Morgan Moses
OT
Virgina Tech
29
Oakland Raiders Carr is loved supposedly by the Raiders.
Derek Carr
QB
Fresno State

30
       San Francisco 49ers
49ers stay put and get a impacting corner.
Jason Verrett
CB
TCU

31
Denver Broncos Going all in for a super bowl. Shazier will go nice into the rotation with Ware and Von Miller....wow that would be dangerous. Unless they meet Seattle again.
Ryan Shazier
OLB
Ohio St.
32

Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson gets a big target outside to complement Harvin and Doug Baldwin.

Kelvin Benjamin
WR
Florida State

  1. Houston Texans Jadeveon Clowney
  2. St. Louis Rams Greg Robinson
  3. Jacksonville Jaguars Johnny Manziel
  4. Cleveland Browns Sammy Watkins
  5. Oakland Raiders Jake Matthews

  • Houston Texans Jadeveon Clowney
  • Pass on a QB for the most dominating player we've seen in the draft for a while.
  • St Louis Rams Greg Robinson
  • With Jake Long coming off a torn ACL, the Rams get more protection for Sam Bradford
  • Jacksonville Jaguars Johnny Manziel
  • The Jaguars have addressed defense through free agency. Everything is set up for them to make a splash in the draft and get their franchise quaterback.
  • Cleveland Browns Sammy Watkins
  • They could take a Quaterback but won't pass on a special talent like Watkins to go across from Josh Gordon.
  • Oakland Raiders Teddy Bridgewater
  • The Raiders have many holes, but a Quaterback can change everything. The most NFL ready QB will be a good fit in the Raiders offense.
  • Atlanta Falcons Jake Matthews
  • The Falcons are a mess on the offesnive line. Matthews will not only protect Ryan but improve that dreaded run game.
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers Khalil Mack
  • Mack is more of a complimental pass rusher than the main focus. With Michael Johnson signed, Mack will cap off a dominant defensive line.
  • Minnesota Vikings Blake Bortles
  • The Vikings re signed Matt Cassell but don't let that fool you. Mike Zimmer wants his guy and a big bodied, strom armed quaterback will put the Vikings back into contention with their star RB Adrian Peterson in his last couple seasons of his prime.
  • Buffalo Bills Mike Evans
  • The Bills need a big target for EJ Manuel. With Stevie Johnson and Robert Woods as two great complimetery receivers, Mike Evans will add a much needed red zone threat to the Bills offense.
  • Detroit Lions Justin Gilbert
  • Its time the Lions stop ignoring the secondary and get a special talent in Gilbert. With big time physical play and speed like little corners have, the Lions will find what they are looking for.
  • Tennessee Titans Anthony Barr
  • The Titans get a steal here with a big time difference maker in both coverage and pass rushing. Barr will finally be that impactful pass rusher that the Titans have lacked over the years.
  • New York Giants Tyler Lewan
  • The Giants need to keep adding to their offensive line. After losing David Baas, the Giants need more lineman that will improve the Giants run game and make Eli comfortable. Lewan impressed at the combine and is a athletic phenomenom
  • St Louis Rams Ha Ha Clinton Dix
  • The Rams will love to find Clinton-Dix still available at 13. With TJ Mcdonald coming along, the Rams could use another safety that adds to a promising defensive backfield.
  • Chicago Bears Timmy Jernigan
  • The Bears added Lamar Houston on the defensive line and will continue that trend with a big body up the middle who has underrated pass rushing ability.
  • Pittsburgh Steelers Darqueze Dennard
  • The Steelers need to get younger in the secondary. A nice safety signing in free agency in Mike Mitchell will allow the Steelers to get a physical corner that fits perfectly opposite Ike Taylor.
  • Dallas Cowboys Aaron Donald
  • A great fit for an athletic tackle that will start the rebuild of that dreaded Cowboys defense.
  • Baltimore Ravens Eric Ebron
  • The Ravens can't pass on Ebron even though it isn't a need. His amazing hands and speed will add another dynamic weapon for Joe Flacco who lacked that last season. Dennis Pitta is nice but nowhere near the upside that Ebron has.
  • New York Jets Marquise Lee
  • The Jets signed Eric Decker but they aren't done at WR. Geno Smith had nothing to work with last season and if they want improvement, they need to get a speedy talent like Lee who will fall because of a senior season that shoulnd't be taken too seriously. He is a special talent.
  • Miami Dolphins Zach Martin
  • A obvious pick here for Miami. Revamping their entire offensive line and already signing Branden Albert, Martin can play both guard and tackle which will help Miami significantly.
  • Arizona Cardinals Bradley Roby
  • The Cardinals get another athletic corner to go along with Patrick Peterson.
  • Green Bay Packers Calvin Pryor
  • A bit of a fall for Pryor but a great fit in Green Bay who needs safety help. His physical style and great ball skills will bring a attitude and another dimension to a defense that needs to improve if GB wants to compete in the NFC.
  • Philadelphia Eagles Brandin Cooks
  • Another weapon for Chip Kelly's arsenal. There are some question marks as to wether or not Desean Jackson is on his way out and if he is, Cooks is a great fit .
  • Kansas City Chiefs Kelvin Benjamin
  • The Chiefs get the giant from Florida State to go along with Dwayne Bowe. After missing out on Cooks the Chiefs add to their offense a huge red zone target that Alex Smith needs to find a way to utilize.
  • Cincinnati Bengals Dee Ford
  • After losing Michael Johnson the Bengals need to get a defensive end that can go well with Carlos Dunlap. Ford is a great pass rusher that is a perfect fit.
  • San Diego Chargers Jason Verrett
  • The Chargers secondary is a shut down corner away from being a great one. Verrett is a physical, long armed corner that will be a versatile zone and man corner.
  • Cleveland Browns Derek Carr
  • The Browns decide to wait for their guy who is Carr. A rocket arm and sneeky mobility will put Cleveland over the top to contend in the AFC North.
  • New Orleans Saints Kony Ealy
  • The Saints defense keeps getting better and better. Ealy was the best pass rusher in a dominant Mizzou pass rush.
  • Carolina Panthers Odell Beckham Jr.
  • The Panthers lost all 3 of their starting receivers. They need to totally rebuild the receving corp and Beckham will be a nice start with nice size and speed that allows him to be a productive returner as well that will help replace Ted Gin.
  • New England Patriots Louis Nix
  • Could be a tight end here but after Vince Wilfork requested to be released. The Patriots awful run defense got worse which is now why they must draft a big NT to swallow run gaps and Nix can do just that.
  • San Francisco 49ers Jarvis Landry
  • The 49ers add another tough receiver to go with Crabtree and Boldin as well as Vernon Davis. They need corners but they have a lot of picks that could help them move up and get a Kyle Fuller in the second round.
  • Denver Broncos CJ Mosely
  • After adding so many positions through free agency, Denver looks like they are ready to go all in for a super bowl title. With Wesley Woodyard now a Titan, the Broncos need a inside linebacker and Mosely will probably be an upgrade at the position with his tackling skills.
  • Seattle Seahawks Xavier Su'a-Filo
  • Russell Wilson was the 2nd most sacked QB in the NFL behind Tannehill and a athletic guard like Filo will help Wilson have more time in the pocket and get Marshawn Lynch help to keep his crazy production going.

    56. The Panthers lost all 3 of their starting receivers. They need to totally rebuild the receving corp and Beckham will be a nice start with nice size and speed that allows him to be a productive returner as well that will help replace Ted Gin.
    57. New England Patriots Louis Nix
    58. Could be a tight end here but after Vince Wilfork requested to be released. The Patriots awful run defense got worse which is now why they must draft a big NT to swallow run gaps and Nix can do just that.
    59. San Francisco 49ers Jarvis Landry
    60. The 49ers add another tough receiver to go with Crabtree and Boldin as well as Vernon Davis. They need corners but they have a lot of picks that could help them move up and get a Kyle Fuller in the second round.
    61. Denver Broncos CJ Mosely
    62. After adding so many positions through free agency, Denver looks like they are ready to go all in for a super bowl title. With Wesley Woodyard now a Titan, the Broncos need a inside linebacker and Mosely will probably be an upgrade at the position with his tackling skills.
    63. Seattle Seahawks Xavier Su'a-Filo
    64. Russell Wilson was the 2nd most sacked QB in the NFL behind Tannehill and a athletic guard like Filo will help Wilson have more time in the pocket and get Marshawn Lynch help to keep his crazy production going.

    1. Houston Texans Jadeveon Clowney
    2. Pass on a QB for the most dominating player we've seen in the draft for a while.
    3. St Louis Rams Greg Robinson
    4. With Jake Long coming off a torn ACL, the Rams get more protection for Sam Bradford
    5. Jacksonville Jaguars Johnny Manziel
    6. The Jaguars have addressed defense through free agency. Everything is set up for them to make a splash in the draft and get their franchise quaterback.
    7. Cleveland Browns Sammy Watkins
    8. They could take a Quaterback but won't pass on a special talent like Watkins to go across from Josh Gordon.
    9. Oakland Raiders Teddy Bridgewater
    10. The Raiders have many holes, but a Quaterback can change everything. The most NFL ready QB will be a good fit in the Raiders offense.
    11. Atlanta Falcons Jake Matthews
    12. The Falcons are a mess on the offesnive line. Matthews will not only protect Ryan but improve that dreaded run game.
    13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Khalil Mack
    14. Mack is more of a complimental pass rusher than the main focus. With Michael Johnson signed, Mack will cap off a dominant defensive line.
    15. Minnesota Vikings Blake Bortles
    16. The Vikings re signed Matt Cassell but don't let that fool you. Mike Zimmer wants his guy and a big bodied, strom armed quaterback will put the Vikings back into contention with their star RB Adrian Peterson in his last couple seasons of his prime.
    17. Buffalo Bills Mike Evans
    18. The Bills need a big target for EJ Manuel. With Stevie Johnson and Robert Woods as two great complimetery receivers, Mike Evans will add a much needed red zone threat to the Bills offense.
    19. Detroit Lions Justin Gilbert
    20. Its time the Lions stop ignoring the secondary and get a special talent in Gilbert. With big time physical play and speed like little corners have, the Lions will find what they are looking for.
    21. Tennessee Titans Anthony Barr
    22. The Titans get a steal here with a big time difference maker in both coverage and pass rushing. Barr will finally be that impactful pass rusher that the Titans have lacked over the years.
    23. New York Giants Tyler Lewan
    24. The Giants need to keep adding to their offensive line. After losing David Baas, the Giants need more lineman that will improve the Giants run game and make Eli comfortable. Lewan impressed at the combine and is a athletic phenomenom
    25. St Louis Rams Ha Ha Clinton Dix
    26. The Rams will love to find Clinton-Dix still available at 13. With TJ Mcdonald coming along, the Rams could use another safety that adds to a promising defensive backfield.
    27. Chicago Bears Timmy Jernigan
    28. The Bears added Lamar Houston on the defensive line and will continue that trend with a big body up the middle who has underrated pass rushing ability.
    29. Pittsburgh Steelers Darqueze Dennard
    30. The Steelers need to get younger in the secondary. A nice safety signing in free agency in Mike Mitchell will allow the Steelers to get a physical corner that fits perfectly opposite Ike Taylor.
    31. Dallas Cowboys Aaron Donald
    32. A great fit for an athletic tackle that will start the rebuild of that dreaded Cowboys defense.
    33. Baltimore Ravens Eric Ebron
    34. The Ravens can't pass on Ebron even though it isn't a need. His amazing hands and speed will add another dynamic weapon for Joe Flacco who lacked that last season. Dennis Pitta is nice but nowhere near the upside that Ebron has.
    35. New York Jets Marquise Lee
    36. The Jets signed Eric Decker but they aren't done at WR. Geno Smith had nothing to work with last season and if they want improvement, they need to get a speedy talent like Lee who will fall because of a senior season that shoulnd't be taken too seriously. He is a special talent.
    37. Miami Dolphins Zach Martin
    38. A obvious pick here for Miami. Revamping their entire offensive line and already signing Branden Albert, Martin can play both guard and tackle which will help Miami significantly.
    39. Arizona Cardinals Bradley Roby
    40. The Cardinals get another athletic corner to go along with Patrick Peterson.
    41. Green Bay Packers Calvin Pryor
    42. A bit of a fall for Pryor but a great fit in Green Bay who needs safety help. His physical style and great ball skills will bring a attitude and another dimension to a defense that needs to improve if GB wants to compete in the NFC.
    43. Philadelphia Eagles Brandin Cooks
    44. Another weapon for Chip Kelly's arsenal. There are some question marks as to wether or not Desean Jackson is on his way out and if he is, Cooks is a great fit .
    45. Kansas City Chiefs Kelvin Benjamin
    46. The Chiefs get the giant from Florida State to go along with Dwayne Bowe. After missing out on Cooks the Chiefs add to their offense a huge red zone target that Alex Smith needs to find a way to utilize.
    47. Cincinnati Bengals Dee Ford
    48. After losing Michael Johnson the Bengals need to get a defensive end that can go well with Carlos Dunlap. Ford is a great pass rusher that is a perfect fit.
    49. San Diego Chargers Jason Verrett
    50. The Chargers secondary is a shut down corner away from being a great one. Verrett is a physical, long armed corner that will be a versatile zone and man corner.
    51. Cleveland Browns Derek Carr
    52. The Browns decide to wait for their guy who is Carr. A rocket arm and sneeky mobility will put Cleveland over the top to contend in the AFC North.
    53. New Orleans Saints Kony Ealy
    54. The Saints defense keeps getting better and better. Ealy was the best pass rusher in a dominant Mizzou pass rush.
    55. Carolina Panthers Odell Beckham Jr.
